Hoegaarden Witbier
Firstly I will apologise about the lack of posting lately. I have been a little ill and have had to slow down my consumption in order to recuperate! I did however start to feel a little bit better towards the end of last week and managed to get a pint of Hoegaarden Witbier into my system to accompany a delicious curry from 'Old Parr's Head' which I have now adopted as my local.Hoegaarden is a witbier or 'white beer' from Belgium and is the iconic representation of the style. Although cloudy, the beer is spritzy and refreshing with an exteremely weak bittering but adequately seasoned by corriander and dried orange peel. As I am pressed for time I will not waffle on too much, Iwill however give a link to an interesting website! I am sure that I will have more than a few of these come summer!
