While I have no intention of attending this event at all, I feel that as a service to others I should remark that the the Local Taphouse chain of pubs is having their SpecTAPular beer festival in a week or so time. Available at prices which UK drinkers would flatly refuse to pay are the following beers (available in proper real keg format);

Why wouldn't you want to attend this? It looks like an unbelievable lineup that I certainly won't miss!
I went to Oktoberfest at the Taphouse in Darlo and it was a shitfight. I suspect this will be the same. I like a beer, but I am not going to drink it while rammed up against some blokes arm pit.
Fair enough. Two less armpits for me to battle through then!
yes it was a shit fight and some nice beers were had, some nice ladies evened up the equation. left early to avoid beer goggle sydrome.
