Adnams East Green

Adnams East Green Carbon Neutral beer (4.3% abv) recently hit the shelves of my local Tesco and is an amazing Pale Ale and claims to be the first environmentally aware beer from the coast.
This is a beer that I really like. Upon first lifting it off the supermarket shelf I was surprised by how light it is, they have obviosluy gone to the effort of reducing the amount of glass used in production. This accompanied with locally sourced barley and hops have produced a light citrussy session ale, along the lines of an American Pale Ale, but dryer and in a similar vein to James Squire Golden Ale. I have recently aquired another bottle of this and I anticipate that it will be as good as the first! Website here.

I picked up one of these from the Adnams brewery shop in Southwold the other week. Really liked it, despite the gimmicking looking zero-carbon stuff!

I have just read about this beer on the Guild of Beer Writers website. It mentions that they have brought it out on tap too. Apparently it also naturally carbonated.
I might just have to give it a go.

@ sheymouse
I have another bottle sitting in my fridge waiting for me to get home!
I would like to try and find this on tap somewhere!

Luckily enough, my local pub is currently carrying East Green as one of its guest ales. Ignoring the tacky plastic (!) beer pump tag, I have to confess I supped a few pints last night, and admit that it's very nice - those in the know would probably call it a session beer.

However, as I awoke this morning a thought occurred to me, no doubt prompted by the actual reason I woke up so early. Adnams haven't thought this carbon neutral thing through.

Methane is 25 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas.

Do I need to continue?
